100 Year Old Church Renovation
De Pere, WI
This historic building has served the St. Norbert College, Norbertine and De Pere communities for more than a century. Formerly known as “the French church,” Old St. Joe’s required a special touch in bringing it up to modern standards.
The renovation added an atrium gathering area, lounge, oratory chapel, sacristy, bathrooms and a basement to house classrooms, as well as heating and air conditioning facilities. IEI General Contractors teams performed carpentry and demolition work, including removing the plaster walls to reveal the original masonry and beams.
Hardwood floors completed the natural feeling of the environment, and Old St. Joe’s reopened to rave reviews in 1999.
