Medical building contractors must understand the importance of infection control and minimal service disruption when working on projects in healthcare environments. IEI has completed numerous such projects, and we have a thorough understanding of appropriate standard operating procedures.

Healthcare organizations throughout the area have tabbed IEI for projects ranging from minor remodels to major additions. Here is a look at some of our most recent projects within the medical building contractors segment:
IEI completed several projects for Bellin Health in the metropolitan Green Bay area, including two major remodeling projects at Bellin Hospital involving the third-floor maternity area and seventh-floor patient care areas, as well as a clinic.
We remodeled 20,300 square feet in the Bellin Hospital maternity area. This nine-phase project included four new birthing rooms and finish upgrades to the existing 17 birthing rooms. The seventh-floor project involved 21,000 square feet of space, creating 18 new patient rooms and a new nurses’ station. Both of which spanned close to a year without disruption to patient care.
We also remodeled the entire building at Bellin Health’s clinic location in De Pere. This included new flooring, paint and casework in the exam rooms, and paint and flooring in the corridors. IEI crews completed the five-month project without a disruption to service.
Medical building contractors also complete projects in non-medical areas, and IEI did just that when we remodeled the data center at St. Mary’s Hospital Medical Center in Green Bay. We expanded the existing data center and consolidated all data equipment into a single location. The project included a new raised access floor capable of supporting 1,500 pounds, ramped access flooring at three exits, a new ceiling and new sprinkler system in the data room, and a year-round cooling loop for the data equipment.
